Simply For Children

About Simply for Children

An advocate, a connector, a resource, and a community partner for children across Chicago’s Southland.

Our story

Bridging the gap between families and the help already out there.

Our children.

Simply for Children NFP was created with a clear purpose: to advocate for children, create opportunities for young people, and help families throughout Chicago’s Southland connect with resources that support healthier and stronger futures.

Children face challenges that often extend far beyond the classroom. Families may struggle to find affordable programs, enrichment opportunities, school supplies, food assistance, mentoring, healthcare resources, or simply information about services already available within their community.

Simply for Children seeks to help bridge that gap. Our organization serves as a connector, advocate, resource, and community partner — bringing people and organizations together around one common priority: our children.

We believe every child deserves to feel supported, encouraged, protected, valued, and empowered to dream beyond their current circumstances.

Our mission

The mission of Simply for Children NFP is to improve the lives of children and families throughout Chicago’s Southland by connecting them with resources, educational opportunities, supportive programs, community partnerships, and experiences that encourage healthy development and long-term success.

Our vision

We envision a Chicago Southland where every child — regardless of ZIP code, family income, or circumstance — has access to opportunities, resources, positive experiences, and community support needed to thrive.

Children first. Always.

Every initiative, partnership, program, and community effort supported by Simply for Children will begin with one question: how does this help a child? That question keeps our mission simple, focused, and accountable.

Their circumstances should never determine their possibilities.
